Established in 2005, due to an increased demand for cosmetic surgery options, Southern Utah Surgical and Laser Aesthetics offers state-of-the-art cosmetic and laser surgery at reasonable prices. Our physicians are board certified and each have more than 20 years of surgical experience. We pioneered laser surgery in Utah in 1989 and continue to look for innovative and novel ways to improve cosmetic surgery results while maximizing safety and minimizing cost.
New advances in anesthesia have allowed us to provide cosmetic surgery in an office setting with little pain and increased safety. Tumescent liposuction, abdominoplasty, cosmetic eyelid, and face, breast, and gynecologic surgery may all now be performed in an office surgical suite.
Your safety is our first priority. Our staff is Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified and our surgery suite has all of the latest monitoring and emergency medical equipment. Recent studies indicate a marked reduction in complications from cosmetic surgery with the patient under light sedation and local anesthesia.

Grant L. Carter, MD attended medical school at the University of Utah where he was recognized by the AOA Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah and was chief resident during his last year of training. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been practicing in Southern Utah since 1982, when he founded Southern Utah Women's Health Center. He is currently the medical director of Women's and Children's Services at Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Carter was laser certified in 1989, and since then, has had experience treating multiple conditions with the laser. He is licensed in Utah and Nevada and has privileges at both Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah and Kane County Hospital in Kanab, Utah. Furthermore, Dr. Carter is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the only surgeon in Southern Utah certified to perform the QuickLift™ Face Lift and has completed hands-on training with Dominic A. Brandy, MD, who is the creator of the QuickLift™.
