He took his residency in General Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida and at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California followed by a residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, where he was an instructor of in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Karlin is a member of many local, national, and international medical societies. He has authored numerous articles in respected journals and has made many television and radio appearances, including CNN, KPLA, Eye on L.A., KMAX, KZLA and KGL. To ensure that he provides his patients with the most up-to-date techniques, he continuously participates in seminars and conferences.
