It is not until we begin to approach the warm months of summer that people begin to take a look at their bodies and wonder when they should schedule a tummy tuck in preparation for bikini weather. There will be quite a bit of tenderness and pain in the first few weeks so your plastic surgeon will prescribe medication for pain relief. Most of the swelling and bruising will go away within 5 to 7 weeks and you should be allowed to resume more normal activities. Most people report full results after 3 to 4 months.
